Wegovy is a prescription medication used for chronic weight management in adults and some adolescents. It works by reducing appetite and calorie intake, supporting weight loss and lowering the risk of heart disease.

Composition:
Each Wegovy injection contains:

• Active ingredient: Semaglutide (a GLP-1 receptor agonist)

• Form: Prefilled, once-weekly subcutaneous injection

• Available doses: Typically 0.25 mg to 2.4 mg per injection

It also includes inactive ingredients like water for injection and buffering agents.

How to use

• Wegovy is administered as a once-weekly subcutaneous injection (under the skin), usually in the thigh, abdomen, or upper arm.

• It can be taken with or without food, at any time of day.

• Use a new prefilled pen for each injection.

• Always follow your doctor’s instructions and rotate injection sites to avoid irritation.
